Like many great films of the 1960s/1970s, They Shoot Horses, Don't They? combines beautiful visual imagery/amazing costumes while also providing a narrative exploring a relevant social issue of the time. The best part of many of the great "fashionable" films made during the 1960s and 1970s is they are not only beautiful to watch, but they also bring up questions that modern cinema is usually afraid to tackle/question. And Jane Fonda is gorgeous/amazing/an ardent feminist and rules my school (in case you couldn't tell when I posted about Klute).
